В конце этого года ожидается создание Европейской организации молодых химиков (ЕОМХ, EYCN-European Young Chemists Network) как молодёжного отделения EuCheMS (www.euchems.org).
Основной задачей организации, как предполагается, будет информационное обеспечение деятельности молодых учёных (сайт, форумы, рассылки, оффлайновые молодёжные конференции, школы, симпозиумы). Иными словами, предполагается создать среду для общения студентов, аспирантов и молодых кандидатов не только друг с другом, но и с представителями промышленности и известными учёными мирового масштаба.

European Young Chemists Network (EYCN)

In this brief letter, we would like to summarize the results of the discussions, which were made between Young European Chemists in the past two years at their meetings in Torino (2004), Konstanz (2006) and Budapest (2006) in order to set up the European Young Chemists Network (EYCN).
These results will be presented here in three parts:
-Mission, aims, goals
-Ideas, potentialities, benefits
-Tasks
Mission, aims, goals
The basic mission is to bring together national groupings of young chemists within the EuCheMS framework, in order to discuss problems of common interest as well as elaborate new ideas and initiatives which should ultimately contribute to the development of the European Society as a whole. By networking Young Chemists can express in organized way and with one voice their point of view to contribute to the European choices. This in terms of scientific programs in chemistry and molecular sciences as well as in all the other scientific and technological area where chemistry is heavily involved like nanoscience, life science, environmental science, electronics and so on. Also, the networking should give to the young chemists the opportunity to reach the critical mass needed for producing the right ideas and to have the political weight needed to contribute to essential themes like education, sustainable development, quality of life or growth of European Economy and European Competitiveness. The goal of EYCN is to create a place where young chemists can meet each other but can also meet European industry (chemical as well as non chemical industries), academic as well as professional institutions and the European Union.
Ideas, potentialities, benefits
EYCN should have its own website to be used for information, forum and electronic networking. It should be regularly updated, and should work as an information platform. In addition there could be special research topic forums, where young chemists could discuss their problems and start collaborations. A regular newsletter could also be edited.
EYCN should establish a job/internship/exchange program-database. This is intended to create a place for the match between the needs of graduate and PhD students, post docs and other young chemists (in the whole Europe) with the demand of industry and academic institutions. This database should collect the industrial and academic partners interested in a project of this sort. EYCN should advertise the potentialities of the data base among the young chemists.
The events organized by EYCN could be grouped into the following three types, all of those intended to favour the contact of young chemists not only with each other but also with famous scientists or business people:
- Workshops Symposia or Courses on special topics: these could be in different chemical and molecular science research areas or in interdisciplinary areas like those related to chemistry, communication and business. Two examples of these last type of events might be a Proteomic Research in Medicinal Chemistry Course at one of the well known European Institutes working in this area or an Invitation by Companies to learn of rhetoric and business in the chemical industry.
- Official Conference of the EYCN every second year: this would be complementary to EuCheMS Congress (2007, 2009,…), or jointly to EuCheMS Congress (2008, 2010,…)
- Social Events to promote chemistry: it would work for promoting chemistry as well as for the spreading of chemical and molecular science and its importance in the modern society.
EYCN should also organize and assign Awards and Scholarships for the most talented young chemists. This should be also for travel cost to participate to a conference, or else.
EYCN should establish a firm link with the European Community for having his representatives consulted for the forthcoming scientific programs of the Community or at least to elaborate activities dedicated to young scientists.
Promotion of collaboration with other Young Chemists Organization all around the World is also thought. (USA, Asia)
Tasks
Proposed initial steps for the official institution of the EYCN should be:
The Young Chemists Representatives from different Countries would constitute the Steering Committee of EYCN. This Committee should have a central Coordinator and following the EuCheMS model should also have an Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is responsible for managing the scientific, educational and professional activities of EYCN. A foundation meeting is forecasted for the end of the 2006.
As soon as the Steering Committee is set up the further steps should be the following:
Write the draft of the articles of the EYCN for approval of EuCheMS Steering Committee.
Encourage the National Chemical Societies to establish their own Young Chemists Group.
Scout the potential participants and economic supporters from academic and industrial side.
Establish the communication infrastructure (website, newsletter).
Organize the first activities.

Чтобы выглядело так. Я в поисковике пишу название химиката, нажимаю запрос и мне высвечивается карта с загоревшимися точками - красные -производители, зелёные - трейдеры. Я выбираю что мне ближе, нажимаю точку - которая является гиперссылкой - на контактную информцию... и нет проблем!!!. МЕЧТА!!!
