Abstract
Some novel chiral and ferroelectric liquid crystals with 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-l,4-phenylene in the skeleton structure were synthesized. The characterization of the fluorinated liquid crystals of their mesomorphic properties is described by polarizing microscopy and IXC measurements.
