Dear Professor *******:
I am writing this letter you to explore the possibility for a post-doctoral position in your research group.
I have submitted my Ph.D. thesis very recently and presently I am trying to complete some pending works of my graduate thesis project (doctoral research) with Professor S. P. Goswami, at the Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur. My Ph. D. research involved synthesis of different designed receptors for the recognition of bioactive neutral guest substrates such as creatine, creatinine, adenine, urea, mono and dicarboxylic acids. I also involved for the synthesis of different flu orescent receptors for the biologically important ions. Beside this my work expand to the study of host-guest interaction in solid state and development of new synthetic methodologies. Overall my work is the study of recognition process in both solution and solid phase.
I am really interested and wish to enrich my chemical career with your work if I get opportunities, and I am confident to meet the challenges. With my synthetic expertise, I'm sure that I'll be able to contribute something in your research programme.
Would you please let me know the available position in your group? I'm attaching my CV for your kind consideration. I will be happy to furnish further information if you need.
I will be eagerly looking forward to hear from you.
